For about the same money (or less) you could get a Henry large loop carbine in .22. I have one and it's a LOT of fun to shoot and inexpensive, both gun and ammo. Get one of those to salve your jones for a large loop and keep your 1895G stock. Just a thought. Jim

I sew a inside pocket in pants to carry my Passport, and a money belt is a good idea. Most important though is the Passport, if it somehow goes missing it is a huge mess. Warn them to be careful with them.

I like .357 for pretty well the same reasons as everyone else, and with a Python and Rossi (well, I gave the 20 inch blue to my son but am waiting on a custom from Steve Young, a SS Trapper) along with a New Vaq .357 also coming from Steve I only have to stock up on LOTS of one size ammo. Can't wait...

I have an Interarms Rossi 20 inch, pre safety, serial K020XXX. I pinged Mike at M&M a year or so back and he put it manufactured "1980, give or take", so I would think both of yours sometime early 80ies, but just my guess. Jim

I agree with the idea of a Rossi '92 in .357. I just gave my 20 inch to my son and have a 16" stainless on order, can't wait to get it. Both .38 and .357 ammunition is reasonable and will easily handle the needs you mention. Enjoy! Jim
