Back maybe 5 yrs. ago I wanted an upgrade to my trusty old Benjamin pump pellet rifle, and decided to start looking. Must be some air shows going on somewhere around our town too. I was outside washing the car a week ago when I heard the distinct sound of an old prop plane. Marlin sold one of those back in the 1800's when they offered their first .22 rimfire model 1891 side loading lever action rifle! The tiny little 1891 and .22RF cartridges was a bit difficult for owners to load into the side gate, so they offered a tube loader to make the rifle easier to load.

Bullard rifles are scarce because they were way overpriced at the time they were built! They are wonderful rifles, with extremely good engineering, fit, and finish. Since it's doing it with more than just the SK ammo, I'd assume it's not ammo related. Likely the extractor is the issue, but not because it's bad.
