Friday night, my daughter's boyfriend (not fiancee yet but were moving in that direction) was in a very serious car accident while driving down from VA to NC to meet my daughter. I love the way the Kahr P380m shoots, and IMHO, it has better fit/function than the Kel-Tec, and less felt recoil than the Seecamp.32 and Kel-Tec .380. I believe they have a CM version out now as well for about $300.

Use BrentD's method and you can skip the string thing, alnitak. And I'm sure your know that Brent meant for you to use a factory-new case for the test. Both my 30/30's show some excess headspace and yet I've never lost a case to head separation: The old "thutty" must be pretty forgiving.....

Zooms are nice and convenient, but... in the main they mean less quality in the final image over the equivalent fixed lens. For consumer lenses, yes. But pro-quality zooms can deliver equivalent (or even better) IQ, especially when you consider that many primes are not their sharpest wide open. The...

I shoot Nikon as well, so don't hesitate to ask if you have questions about the camera. Some other tips: Generally, use the "A" mode (aperture) for best control of your shot (not program mode); it will automatically adjust the shutter speed for the aperture you select. This is best for mos...

I love the Bisley grips. While I didn't have a .45, I had them in .44 mag/spl and .357/.38. They fit my hand perfectly and tame the recoil. I prefer having a grip I can get all my fingers on, rather than the pinkie under, though others prefer the plow-handle grip.
