Re: Most accurate levergun at 200 yards...
Curious about the custom BLR barrel. I'm betting it was on the earlier steel receiver design. The newer, aluminum receiver design, requires a bolt locking lug machined into the steel barrel. Getting the tolerances right for that is a real, serious head ache! You can actually get a really good trigg...

Have a '94 .307 BB that can really stretch the accuracy to 300 yards when using FTX bullets... planned on trying that with a .356 '94 BB, just have not got around to it. But... actually know someone that had a custom barrel made for his BLR, it is now chambered for 6.5 X 55. Do not know if it is the...

Turpentine, Linseed oil and water as hot as double gloved hands can stand it. Scrub with a terry or jute cloth. Let dry. Won’t take off any finish but will take decades of grime off and rejuvenate unprotected wood. How about Murphy's oil soap and hot water, then wipe off with denatured alcohol. All...

My son brought over the family heirloom, a '94 chambered in .32 Spec. My Grandfather bought it new. I am guessing sometime pre WWII as it has a serial # 1183XXX. Other than deer hunting once a year, the rifle has not been used. It went from my Grandfather, to my Father, to me, and then I gave it to ...

Unfortunately, have had a couple. The scariest one was it was such a surprise, because my finger never touched the trigger. It was my old '94 .375 BB. Too be honest, the action on it is looser than a goose. So loose that over the years I have accumulated enough components, except for the actual rece...

Not sure of the actual version the Black Shadow or Timber carbine, but... if it follows the general rule, then take the rear barrel band off, remove the mag tube cap and let the spring out... the follower should slide right out. Ok...common jam on the Winchester 94. The dreaded under carrier jam. Usually not as frustrating as it used to be. Easiest way to unjam....take the plug out of the magazine, take the spring out and the plunger. Usually can use a bit of gravity and a small diameter wood dowel to guide the offending ca...

Been looking at the new 94 short rifle since they came out, a lot of power in the good ol 94 configuration.
