Re: RCBS 45-405-FN

I sized, checked & lubed several of these today. I only check weighed 4 as these are for my buddy Terry  but they varied only 1 grain. If memory severs they were 425, 425, 424, 424.5. This is excellent for bullet that heavy. Many casters are happy with + or - 1% which would be 4.25 grains i...

Technical question: is there any variance is there in weight and diameter??.... Always thought a Magna Caster would be the bee's knees. If I was 51 instead of 71 years old, think I would say "hang the expense [$1100.00 + $250.00 for digital temperature control], I'm 'gonna' order one." If...

That part is different. I have a S&W MP Compact 9 without a safety or mag safety. I do carry the thing with a hot chamber. I don't fear except for being careful when holstering.

I find it interesting that Nosler's max. load is less than IMR's starting load. This is for IMR 4350 powder & a 150 grain bullet.

I need to put together 200 rounds of .284 Winchester ammo for a Model 88 Winchester. I'll be using Nosler 150 grain Ballistic Tips. I have IMR 4350, IMR 4831, & Hodgdn SC 4831. If it were a bolt gun I wouldn't be asking but since I've never loaded for an 88 give me some advice. Thanks & God ...
