Re: The Gun Room

OW, here we see something I am sure your are familiar with. These mountains at about 40 to 80 miles rise to over 8,000 ft. The valley floor here is at about 2350'. So, here, whether we get snow depends on how low the snow level comes down. 3,000' is pretty common and probably what you see here.

Looks like a niche target cartridge which of course can be well employed for some hunting.. What are the ballistics with "normal" hunting bullets? It is a 250 Savage improved necked up.

Christmas confessions, apparently I exaggerated Ron Carmichael's group with full power cast bullets in his 375 H&H.

But here is a group he was checking his son's very plain Jane Model 70 accuracy with a hand load. Jeff now owns The Gun Shop.

Beautiful rifle! The scope would be over doing it for me. I got one made in 73 NIB. It has a Leupold 4X mounted. It has 441 rounds through it. Fed Hi Shok 150 was the most accurate @ 1/2" for 3 @ 100 yds. Win PPSP 180s opened way up. I think it has a 1 in 12" twist. It will shoot at 1" to 1 1/2" wit...
