Re: Min. lengrh of 38spl to work in Win/Miroku 92
Thanks Steve. The OAL you gave me and bullet info are just what I needed. Thanks for the sources, they will help others. I have cast and loaded since 1973 for many calibers so I can load mine thankfully. Don't have the same problem with the Win/Miroku 1873 357 but it feeds differently than the 1892....

Min. lengrh of 38spl to work in Win/Miroku 92
Anyone know the minimum OAL of a 38 Special to get it to reliably feed in a 357 Mag Winchester/Miroku 1892?

Re: Magnum primer for H110?
In warmer weather you can get away with using standard primers with H-110 and ww=296 although with sometimes inconsistant ignition. However, in very cold weather, especially deep winter and far north, standard primers can give delayed or weak ignition. H-110 and ww-296 are definetly Magnum primer po...

1. Great close-up self defense revolver. You can shoot blanks to avoid overpenetration and hitting bystanders, yet still fry the bad guy.
2. Great close-up hog gun. Kill, dehair and cook all at once!

Politically incorrect and rude to disparage another because of an affliction over which he/she has no control.... Moses had a speech impediment which is why his brother spoke for him. Moses did a pretty good job of selling. Get a life- life ain't always fair and we don't always have to "level ...

A good 357 Magnum will save your bacon every time. I tried smokin' bacon but the rollin' papers get geasey and it's hard to light.

Re: 130 gr. FMJ .38 Special Ammo, why the popularity?
I bought 6 of the 100 round 130 gr FP Winchester White box cause I needed more 38 brass and it hits very close to the same POI as the 135gr Gold dot in my 638 for practice. Our range does not allow all-lead reloads and WWB was cheap.

The "Marlin Jam" is real. I have a pre-safety 1894 .44 Mag. It happened to me after just about 400 rounds from original purchase by me. It was not a case of not knowing how to work the rifle as some have said. Once it started happening, it was permanent every round - not just once in a whi...

Re: do coyotes see orange?
Well of course all animals see colors, its just not the ones we see or as many of them. For instance, to some green and white both appear white. That's why it's important to remain motionless so they have a harder time detecting one object from another or what it is. Some people talk like if a yote ...

Re: do coyotes see orange?
Coyotes see orange as a yellow. It will blend in a wheat field but stands out in green foliage which appears white to grayish to a coyote. The important thing is to break up the pattern. and maybe not have a solid orange. There is "camo" orange out there which is orange broken up by black ...
