Re: Blackhawk vs KFrame

I had one of the Blackhawk Buckeye specials. Accurate revolver but to me, it was a very heavy pistol for the .32-20. There are older S&W K frames out there, almost bought one the other day on GunBroker. It was in great shape, but went higher than I wanted to spend that day. A lot of them are really...

Errr..... I thought you were wanting a k-frame 32-20. Many $$$$ for a custom build. http://bowenclassicarms.com/catalog/smith_wesson_basic_packages.html Nobody here can tell you if a blackhawk is going to fit and point for you. Blackhawk vs KFrame

K Frames fit my hands. They shoot where I point. They don’t come in 32 wcf. Colt pocket positives don’t fit. Police positives don’t either. I don’t want to have two different loads for rifle and sidearm. The only Blackhawks I’ve shot had big overmolded stocks but were fun. One of the Buckeye special...

I see a few Browning model 53s occasionally listed with full length mag tubes. I assume these were set up for SASS? If so, would match use wear them IN or out? What would the odds be that the action was slicked? Would the full mag tube increase or decrease the value in relation to an as new one? Wou...

I like that, and even though I've never really had a scope 'fail' it is still cool to have a backup sight... I set a rifle against a tree to pee and a drop of water fell out of the tree onto the lens and somehow got into the scope. Fogged instantly. Had a backup peep and got a deer that morning. Le...

That's a swell bullet there, Tycer. Ready to do some heavy lifting, like Mick's. I gotta tell ya. A heavy, large meplat 357 cal bullet will poke a clean 3/4" hole through and through. No lube grooves on the aluminum one. The hollow point mold has several different nose profile pins and each pin has two threaded holes for the rods to hold them in place. Can’t think of any way to get the bullets out without removing the rods first?!
