Went solar this year (and paid for it) and have my own well with generators for backup and a 2500 gal above ground water tank. The house is heated with propane off a 500 gal tank that lasted all winter last year. Freezer is full of moose, salmon, and whitetail with enough other things for a large p...

Tried a friends Red Dot mounted pistol then had my Glock 23 milled and mounted a Trijicon 1 MOA SRO. I was told Gunsite was starting a 250 Red Dot Class and after having the pistol set up for a month, I took the class. I like the fact it is much faster shooting the Red Dot than hunting the front si...

Sad to say this has been coming for a long time. I was a cub scout in the 60s and enjoyed it learning lots. Finally, got this project finished. A Rossi .44 Mag ceracoated, barrel and mag tube cut and threaded, 1892 rail installed with a solar-powered 2 MOA red dot, and a Rugged Obsidian .45 ACP Suppressor (rated for .458 SOCOM light mount not on it yet.) Got to add about 500 pounds of meat to two families freezers a few days ago. On day three of the hunt, this guy fell over (after walking about 10-15yards) about 150 yards from me. The WildWest Co-Pilot did a great job with all rounds fired hitting the heart/lung area. The only slug in him not in pi...

I am fond of the 16-inch guns and carry a .44 Mag and a .45 Long Colt often with red dot sights on them. The .45 is an older Rossi the was smoothed out by Nate "Kiowa" Jones and gets carried often when I run the dog. The .44 is a Marlin 1894 -C That I have been abusing for a very long time after my...

I am lucky enough to have two .45 LC lever guns, an old Rossi and a Newer Henry Carbine. I like the Rossi more than the Henry due to weight. A normal Night response (depending on how the dog launches) is an 870 Marine with red dot sight with two Buckshot then slugs. Or a lever gun in .44 or .45 with a red dot sight.
