I'm thinking of tightening the barrel on that redhawk about a 16th of a turn to see if I can shoot it any better that way. ! LOL

180 yards is not a good starting distance for me with that gun. I should have moved up on it a couple of feet.

Give me a decent 39 and I can tink it off and on all day.

It would be wonderful information if someone would post the serial number range of the sintered metal receivers so we can have a handy reference. The only other thing I would avoid is the cross-bolt safety, that thing is ugly beyond compensation.

Well, I declare. I love the ruger safety, it's genious. H&R has the same setup now. I can't see any reason not to have this.

But, if I had a collectible ruger I wouldn't want to alter it either. Mine are just boring old blue collar wheel guns with hammer block safeties.
