I told a lie. I went and measured them and the BH is smaller than 71. Width 71 is 1.23, BH is 1.13
Front of receiver to back of bolt, BH 5.22, 71 is 5.74

How are you doing with the Whelen? I wish I could still shoot peep sights. I think a rifle looks cleaner with a peep sight instead of a scope. I seem to be to shoot the red dot sight OK. I have several guns with red dots on them.........Joe

At one time I had both a 218 bee and 32-20. Like a ##### I sold the 218. I still have the 32-20 and it is a great turkey gun. I also picked up a ruger buckeye in 32-20, and they make a great pair.

I am a big bore nut. I have a 338,358,348,2-35 Whelens,45-70and 44's. In my opinion the BLR 358 will kill stuff out to 200-250 as good as any. I traded a 308 BLR off for my 358 BLR.....Joe
