I'm sorry gentlemen, for not posting pictures - I'll try to take some this weekend.
I'm in the final stages of homebuilding, so I likely won't even get to shoot it until after a couple of weeks or so. I'll try to post a review after I run a few rounds through it.

Picked up my 1894C in .357 yesterday

Got it off GunBroker and picked it up from my local FFL. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but my first impressions when I took it out of the box was "it's certainly a cute little fellow". It was much smaller than I thought it would be and I may have to add a spacer under the recoil pa...

What book(s) would you recommend for a newbie to reloading? I'm getting ready to place an Amazon order and thought I'd start reading up on the subject before I start purchasing equipment.

I just sold that exact rifle a few weeks ago. It was the most accurate rifle I've ever had, but was just too heavy for me to hunt with. I purchased it mainly to get set up to shoot F-class, but lost interest in it and I've already got a .270 as my deer rifle. It shot Cabela's bulk 75 gr. ammo. the b...

I have a Marlin 1894C in .357 on order and am getting ready to buy some ammo for it. I've got some Cabela's gift cert. that I'd like to use and they have 2 offerings of their bulk .357 Mag. ammo, 158gr. semi-wadcutter and 158gr. jacketed hollowpoint. .243 w/ 20" barrel on BLR?

Most .243's in other actions (bolt and semi-auto) have 22" barrels. What would I lose by going with a 20" barrel that's available in the Browning BLR? Will the muzzle blast be noticeably worse from the shorter barrel? It's bad enough on a longer barrel, in my opinion. How about trajectory ...

Jeff,
How well has the finish held up on your receiver.

I'm not necessarily concerned about the aluminum receiver holding up, but an anodized finish does concern me.

The "newer" ones meaning the latest ones with the aluminum receiver.
Interested in hearing your experiences, as I've got an itch for one in .243 or 7mm-08.
