I probably should have put that in my first post, I am not to keen on the scout scope setup. I prefer something a little more conventional. Am thinking the Vari-X III in 1.5-5x20 with heavy duplex or something along those lines, set up like a dangerous game rifle is about as best as I can describe it.

Have put many a moose and deer on the ground using Federal Premium Noslers, they are all I shoot out of my bolts rifles. I imagine they would be just as effective in a levergun.

Looks like Marc was right, this has got to be one of the friendliest sites i've ever joined! I'm looking forward to getting that GG and getting it modded for some close up and personal brown bear action. I'll post some pics when I get with a little Alaska scenery behind it.
