Ours will start tomorrow morning. I live about a mile from the river bottoms and you can hear them quite well. Same on the first day of duck season.

I quit shooting and eating them decades ago, preferring light-meated quail, pheasants and grouse, but it is fun to feel the excitement in the air nonetheless. I suggest you also use the Lee Factory Crimp Die. If you haven't already purchased your dies get the Lee 4 die sets. Yea…order some…Old Savage has a feed store where you send the money to but only thing you get back are empty feed bags. On a serious note, even a feeder with cracked corn will work……don’t know the laws in your state but some prohibit feeding 30-60 days before the season opener…….we feed em but I’m ...

I tried a couple name brands and none grew well. I did almost an acre of 'reclaimed land' in clover and it grows great! Nice thing about clover is it regenerates the soil nitrogen levels. I have one and it does pretty good after you throw a few charges and keep the cranks the same each time.
For precise rifle loads, I like to set it just shy of the load and trickle the rest. Works pretty fast.

I agree with all of the above. It is just fun having options. When I go hunting I choose the best ammo for both firearms. Usually the lever is a
rifle cartridge.

I have been seeing a white tail doe with triplets hanging around the pear tree at my mother in laws place. I think I have only seen triplets
one other time in my life. They have been too leery for me to get a picture of.

I went ahead and got my 38 Specials while I was taking pictures of my 45s. The combo consist of an 1866 Rifle and (2) 1872s Cimarons all in 38 Special only.

Nice combos guys. Here is my 44 mag combos. B92 Browning, 94 Win Trapper and a Ruger SBH. Sadly I have not worked out good loads for any of these.
Too many other projects ahead of these. Right now I am working on their big brother, a WInchester BB .444.

Sounds like a fair price. I would like to stumble on to one. They are pretty rare here in my neck of the woods.
