Re: Day Is Done, Down The Sun: Taps, For the .450 Marlin
.450 chambered rifles can still chamber .45-70 correct? No, the .450 is a belted case. Looks a little like a .458 Winchester Mag. Marlin/ Hornady did this to keep people from stuffing a hot loaded round into an ole Trapdoor or something similar. jb 8) Also, the 450 belt is located a bit forward of ...

He's so darn slow that I have to give him a 2 minute head start, just so he can keep up with me.

Re: OT: R.I.P.-Larry Kelly (Magn-A-Port)
Bummer. I was just thinking about him the other day, wondering how he's doing.
As an aside- Mag-na-port is not the same company as SSK. SSK is owned by JD Jones, Larry Kellys old hunting buddy. They co-authored a book on handgun hunting several years back.

Re: NEI Bullet Molds
Try Lyman 358430, the 195 gr version. It's available in 2 bullet weights. Personally, I'd try to find an older "Ideal" mould since Lymans quality is almost as erratic as NEIs since Walts passing. Chances are that you can juggle alloys a bit if necessary to get the diameter you want, or you...

Re: Thoughts on lever as bad times rifle?????????
I believe in planning for the worst, and hoping for the best. While the lever action is a fine hunting & sporting arm, I wouldn't depend on one for serious defensive use unless it was my only option. Remember, the U.S. military has never officially adopted a lever action as a battle rifle, for v...

You didn't eat the fowl with your fingers did you? In the Middle Ages, the fingers were always eaten separately

Re: OT. I JUST GOT KICKED OFF THE S&W FORUM, AGAIN.
Help me out fellas. I've been bouncing around the internet, trying to find gun boards that aren't nauseating to frequent. They're tough to find. I still remember the days of the original boards that were little more than e-lists, and you were more likely than not to run into plain speaking folks lik...

I use a Gracey trimmer....
I use a Gracey trimmer. It chamfers the case, inside & out as I trim. Plus I can completely trim & chamfer a case in under 8 seconds. It only cost me a little over $300.00 to be able to say that.

It sounds like....
It sounds like a Throttle Position Sensor. I assume it's fuel injected. Most car parts stores anymore will run it on a scanner for you. If that's all it is, it's a fairly cheap fix. Don't keep driving it the way it is, you could really break something. Get thee to a mechanic...
