Well... 1st joint of new pipe to old has a drip! Arrggh! I got 200 lbs of sand to go in before I backfill. I've heard of folks using colored tape for the warning thing tho'... I'll see what I've got around to do the same. Thanks for the reminder.

I'[ve found that to be really dependent on the particular gun. Seldom do any of my 1911s (only auto-loaders I have), run reliably at such low pressures. With a change in springs more reliability can be had. If a stock gun, just run ammo that mimics factory loads. Usually need not be max.

The only load I can consistently count on in various 45 Colt guns (rifle & pistol) is my RCBS 45-225-CAS bullet with SPG lube over ~32 grains of Goex Cartridge (which I'm quickly running out of)!

My biggest concern is any ash left in the chamber. While at a match, I start reloading almost as soon as I finish a stage. Usually only takes me 3-4 shooters to charge both pistols for the next stage. As I'm charging my pistols, I'm also watch those 3-4 shooters empty their brass from their pistols ...

My usual pair of Colt SAAs both wear a 4-¾" bbl. I haven't shot at paper in the last 10 or 15 years... so I couldn't tell you. I do know that m7 7-½" Colt SAA is not any more accurate... I can tell you it punches smaller holes, only being a .357, vs. the pair of .45s! :P :P
