Adios

I've been having problems with my health again and just got back here after a week or so away. I find the new format very confusing and lack the pewter savvy to do anything about it, if anything can be done. So, I'll say "goodbye." I want to thank all of you who've been helpful, especially...

I've been told that the primers can't be killed that way really. Supposedly, they are inactive for awhile and then dry out to be "love" again.

I haven't tested this, but I wish someone would (scientifically) and give us the definitive answer.

Did anyone else see the Bogart movie with Walter Brenan where they kept a levergun on the Bogie character's boat? I can't remember the name of the film.

The rifle was used sparingly, but Bogie shot out a searchlight with it at one point...with one shot!

I've said this before in similar ways in several places, but here goes: I think camo is helpful in some instances, as in turkey/varmint hunting. Not absolutely essential, but helpful. But I wear camo because the stuff I want to hunt in mostly only comes in that variation; in short it sells because, ...

All else being equal, i.e., the "same" guns, recoil difference is largely due to bullet weight differences. If a heavier bullet is used, the gun will recoil more. While I'm nuts about the .44 mags, I strangely have no interest in a .444. Go figger. I am pretty partial to my stainless Guide...
